BANFF Legacy Forest
Help us grow the Banff World Media Festival Legacy Forest! In recognition of BANFF’s 45th anniversary, and to give back to the beautiful land that the Festival takes place on, we have started a BANFF Legacy Forest fundraiser with a goal to plant 4,500 trees in Alberta, Canada.
Launched in partnership with Tree Canada as part of the National Greening Program, the fundraiser will help support two local reforestation (planting areas historically disturbed by timber harvests) and afforestation (planting marginal agricultural land) projects in Alberta, Canada - the Piikani Nation Project and the Coyote Lake Lodge Project.
A contribution of just $10 will help offset one delegate’s carbon footprint at the Festival. The fundraiser is open for contributions from inside and outside of Canada.
